Communication to Franco-Israeli symposium on Magnetic Resonance

Bordeaux Metabolome Platform’s member – Catherine Deborde- was invited to give an oral communication at a Franco-Israeli symposium on Magnetic Resonance at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. The title was “NMR-based metabolomics at Bordeaux Metabolome Facility: 4 short stories”. That was a good opportunity to meet people involved in magnetic resonance on both side of the Mediterranean Sea, to do networking, to visit NMR labs and see the Gigahertz NMR spectrometer being installed.

Conference: Make our data great (again)

Daniel Jacob, membre de la plateforme, participated to Journée d’étude "Interopérabilité et pérennisation des données de la recherche, Comment FAIR en pratique ? ". His presentation Make our data great (again) de la "Session 3 : Les principes FAIR, une nouvelle opportunité pour améliorer ses pratiques en matière de gestion de données?" can been seen [Link]

Franco - German Symposium on Plant Metabolomics expertise

The WCH-INRA symposium Plant Metabolomics have been take place in Halle/Saale (Germany) on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 October 2018.
During this symposium, scientific goals and methods performed by different groups of the Metabolomics network have been presented and discussed. 4 membres attended to this symposium and have great discussion.

This symposium have been funded by Procope Structurant 2018 Project Creation of a Franco-German Plant Metabolomics Network between the German ScienceCampus Halle - Plant-based Bioeconomy (WCH) and the French National Institute for Agricultural Research (INRA)

MOOC : La métabolomique : enjeux technologiques et scientifiques

Several members of the plateforme Métabolome Bordeaux participated to the creation and realisation of a MOOC (in french only) « La métabolomique : enjeux technologiques et scientifiques »

11th French-speaking Metabolomics and Fluxomics Network Scientific Days (RFMF)

Four members of the Metabolome Facility participated in the 11th French-speaking Metabolomics and Fluxomics Network Scientific Days ( on 23-25 May 2018, a meeting hosted this year by Liège University, in Belgium. The Metabolome Facility contributed to 2 oral presentations and 4 posters in this meeting which had a nice balance between junior (student and post-doc) and senior presentations, with participants from Europe (Belgium, France, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the United-Kingdom) and overseas (Canada, New-Zealand).

MetaboHUB – 6th scientific days

The members of MetaboHUB met for the 6th annual scientific days on Saint-Raphaël to talk about sciences, metabolomics, fluxomics and databases, from 2 to 4 May 2018.

Participation to a Science paper

A successful collaboration between several European and Japanese labs led to a publication in the prestigious American journal Science on the role of plant-specific sphingolipids on the toxicity of microbial toxins.
